Sony announces a VR system for the PlayStation called Morpheus. Can’t wait, this looks pretty great!
You do not need to have the same passion for retro stuff like I do to love this game: TowerFall Ascension. Especially in multiplayer mode (up to four players) it is amazing fun! You can play against each other, or fight together in quest mode. All you basically have to do is to kill your enemies by shooting arrows at, or jumping on them. You only have a small amount of arrows, so you have pick them up again, or steal from your teammates.
In quest mode you also have to take care to not shoot each other while fighting against several waves of enemies. That can easily become a fantastic mess, and you really need to work together to master the levels.
It reminds a bit of games like Bubble Bobble, but with a much faster gameplay. All that comes in a beautiful retro look and sound, definitely an candidate for the game of the year!
Since last week there is Outlast by Red Barrels Games available for the PS4 via the PlayStation Network. And, what is best, PlayStation Plus subscribers get it for free! It is a first person horror game. Not a shooter, since you are playing a reporter with just a camcorder in his hands. No weapons, just running and hiding. I played it through during the weekend, and it really was a scary trip!
Especially the fact that you have no weapons makes you move carefully, and quite often just escaping in panic is your only chance to survive. The story is not too innovative, all a bit like Resident Evil, but still interesting and compelling. Saving points are always fair, and music and graphics work great together. Definitely an amazing game to play, and good to see that there are sequels and prequels planned!
